ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold 17.3" Overview

Experience the innovative foldable OLED screen design of the ASUS 17.3" Zenbook 17 Fold OLED Multi-Touch Laptop. The Fold is a fresh take on the traditional laptop. Its OLED display features a 2560 x 1920 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio. When fully opened, the display is 17.3". When folded, the display is split evenly at 12.5" per side, which allows the Fold to be used in a plethora of versatile modes. The Fold isn't just some gimmick either. It houses a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 10-Core processor, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Performance SSD, providing the performance you need.

17.3" OLED Foldable Touchscreen

The ZenBook 17 Fold OLED features a unique foldable OLED touchscreen with a 2560 x 1920 resolution. The 4:3 OLED panel features all the benefits, such as a 0.2 ms response time, 60 Hz refresh rate, 1.07 billion colors, PANTONE Validated for accurate colors, and an ultra-vivid 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The VESA Certified DisplayHDR True Black 500 display supports Dolby Vision for vibrant HDR visuals. The screen also has 70% lower blue light levels than a traditional LCD display, with TÜV Rheinland eye-care certification.

When folded, the display features a 12.5" screen on each side, featuring a 1920 x 1280 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. This comes in handy when using the ZenBook Fold in different modes, thanks to its unique foldable hinge and OLED screen. In certain modes, one of the 12.5" screens can display a virtual onscreen keyboard, allowing you to enjoy the ZenBook Fold as a unique two-screen laptop.

Versatile Modes

The foldable OLED panel allows the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED to transcend the limitations of a traditional laptop. Fully opened in Tablet mode, the Fold gives you full access to the 17.3" display, complete with intuitive touch controls. For a comfortable reading experience, you can fold the screen slightly into Book mode. Using ScreenXpert tools, you'll be able to display different content and apps on either side of the folded screen. Need to get some serious work done?

The built-in leather kickstand allows you to prop up the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED in Desktop Mode. Don't forget to use the included wireless ASUS ErogSense Bluetooth Keyboard. The ZenBook 17 Fold OLED doesn't completely lose its laptop roots. Fold the screen into a clamshell layout and the keyboard magnetically snaps into place, allowing you to enjoy a traditional clamshell laptop experience. You can even forgo the keyboard and use an on-screen virtual keyboard if you want.

Performance

The ZenBook 17 Fold OLED houses a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U 10-Core processor and 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Its performance cores can be boosted up to 4.7 GHz while the efficiency cores handle things like background tasks. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics handle the visuals. For storage, the ZenBook Fold utilizes a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 performance SSD. The SSD provides fast boot and load times, allowing you to power the Fold on quickly and get into your apps faster. Wi-Fi 6E takes advantage of the less congested 6 GHz band with compatible networks, providing you with smooth video streaming and online gaming experiences.

ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth Keyboard

The ASUS Fold comes with the wireless ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth Keyboard. The keyboard provides a comfortable yet precise typing experience, thanks to it's 19.05mm key pitch, 1.4mm key travel, and 0.2mm keycap dish. Using Bluetooth, the keyboard connects wirelessly to the Fold, allowing you to use it separately. It also connects magnetically to the Fold when in Laptop mode, which automatically changes into a 12.5" screen for a traditional clamshell laptop layout.

The smooth-glide touchpad is designed for a gentle feel. The special coating is hydrophobic with a high water contact angle (AF), and there's a PVD anti-fingerprint coating that ensures resistance to wear and tear. You can capture screen grabs, activate the webcam, or access the MyASUS app via function keys, and switching typing between two devices with the same keyboard enhances your multi-tasking experience.

Ports and Connectivity

Thunderbolt 4 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector and features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB4 at up to 20 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort allows you to connect a single 8K monitor or up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 4 port. For audio, there is a 3.5mm combo jack for headphones or an external microphone. There is also a power button and volume controls on the sides of the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED.

Innovative Camera System

The webcam on the ZenBook Fold makes it easy to join video calls, facilitating collaborations and productivity. The 5MP AI webcam features ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology to give you clear video calls. The unique algorithm sharpens images and performs real-time de-noising to make sure everything looks crisp and clear during video calls. There's also a color sensor that detects ambient light levels and automatically adjusts the brightness and color temperature of the screen to provide the optimal image for your environment. The HD infrared camera with AdaptiveLock is powered by the Intel Visual Sensing Controller. This AI-powered feature senses when you move away from the laptop and locks the laptop for security, and logs right back in when you approach the laptop. When you look away from the screen, it also dims the screen to save battery life.

Intel EVO

The Intel EVO platform is a design standard that includes technologies that are built specifically to enhance laptop experiences. Minimum features include Intel Core processors, integrated Intel Iris X graphics that accelerates photo and video editing, razor-thin bezels on screens, built-in Wi-Fi 6, and nine or more hours of battery life with Full HD displays. Thunderbolt 4 technology allows you to transfer up to 40 Gb/s with compatible daisy-chained devices such as monitors and storage drives using a single cable.

Windows 11 Pro

Microsoft simplified the design and user experience with Windows 11. It has a modern, clean design with a New Start Menu position. Snap Layouts, Groups, and Desktops allow you to multitask with ease. Microsoft has also integrated some of their apps, such as Microsoft Teams. The redesigned Microsoft Store makes it easier to look for supported apps. Windows 11 Pro also has features specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access.
