Designed in collaboration with GamFratesi Studio, Beosound A5 Portable Wireless Speaker from Bang & Olufsen incorporates a Scandinavian design with quality materials, such as real oak and aluminum. The premium design is only matched by the premium sound built into the components and capabilities inside. The Beosound A5 features dual 2" full range drivers, a 0.8" tweeter, and 5.25" woofer; along with 70W Class D amplifiers for powerful 360° sound. Stream from a mobile device via Bluetooth, or use Wi-Fi to utilize AirPlay 2, Chromecast, or stream from popular services over your network. Take your audio around the house or on the go with the integrated carry handle, or head outside, as the Beosound A5 sports IP65-rated dust and water resistance.
On a full charge, the Beosound A5 supplies music all day with up to 12 hours of playback time. The robust battery of the A5 can also be used to provide power to a mobile device. The flat top of the speaker hides a built-in Qi-compatible wireless charging pad. Simply place your phone or other compatible device on top to begin charging.
Using the B&O app on your compatible mobile device, you can wirelessly manage many aspects of the Beosound A5. Use it to alter the sound direction of the drivers, moving from a wide 360° soundstage to something narrow, providing a more private listening experience. The app can also be used for initial setup, adjusting EQ presets, pair to other speakers, update firmware, and more.
If the expansive audio of the Beosound A5 is not enough, you can pair it with another A5 for stereo playback. You can go even further by using Beolink Multiroom on the Mozart 2.0 platform to link it over Wi-Fi to multiple compatible speakers for a whole-home music solution.
Bang & Olufsen have created the Beosound A5 as part of an initiative to reduce environmental waste by using more durable components, and to make the speaker modular. This modular design allows for repair and replacement of parts, without the need to completely replace the speaker when one thing fails.
