Leatherman P2 Overview
With its hardy, full stainless steel construction and complete one-handed access to all 19 of its tools plus their FREE magnetic locking system, the Leatherman FREE P2 Multi-Tool provides essential tools for everyone.
The name FREE comes from its freedom of movement using their proprietary tool design that provides the easy one-handed operation of all the tools with smooth opening and solid magnetic locking of each of the flip-out tools. The FREE system adds an element of usability and safety many multi-tools lack. From a ubiquitous knife blade to tried-and-true favorites like bottle and can openers and pliers, whether you're working, playing, or just living life, there's going to be a tool that you'll use time and again. Proudly made in the USA, this version of the FREE P2 comes complete and ready to work with a removable pocket clip and nylon sheath in clamshell packaging.
Tools & Functions
- Needle-nose pliers: Perfect for holding small objects or using the pliers in tight, narrow spaces
- Regular pliers: Conveniently hold and manipulate items
- Regular-gauge wire cutters: Easily cut through regular and light-gauge wire. Replaceable if they wear down
- Hard wire cutters: Cut thicker, heavier-gauge electrical hard wires. Also replaceable
- Electrical crimper: Located in the jaw of the tool, used for general-purpose crimping of solderless electrical connectors/terminals
- Wire stripper: Safely remove the outer insulation from multiple gauges and types of wire
- 420HC knife blade: Partially serrated to allow you to perform an array of cutting tasks, including cordage and meal prep
- Spring-action scissors: Use one handed to quickly and easily cut through thin materials
- Package opener: Slice through thick plastic packaging or packing tape without the inherent danger of a knife blade
- Awl: Puncture tough materials like leather and canvas tarps to create or enlarge holes and sew with the integrated thread loop
- Can opener: Safely and easily open canned goods
- Bottle opener: Pop open your favorite beverage
- Wood/metal file: File and smooth edges on wood and metal surfaces
- Phillips screwdriver: Tighten or loosen Phillips head screws
- Medium screwdriver: Tighten and loosen medium-size flathead screws
- Small screwdriver: Tighten and loosen small flathead screws
- Extra-small screwdriver: Tighten and loosen extra-small screws such as eyeglass frame screws
- Pry tool: Designed to provide leverage between two objects and pry them apart safely
- Ruler: Etched into the handle, it measures small objects up to 1.41" (25mm)
