The mic's condenser capsule and interference tube result in a highly directional response that significantly lessens the amount of background noise, especially in comparison to omnidirectional and bidirectional polar patterns.

Focused Directivity

This supercardioid microphone has an acoustic design that uses an interference tube to produce directionality that is more focused than other common polar patterns such as omnidirectional and cardioid.
