No controls are on hand, which streamlines the process: simply clamp the mic to your subject (or yourself), plug the mic into the phone, and start recording. The mic will work with any app that records audio, including the built-in iOS Voice Memo App—but when you pair it with the iOS Rode Reporter APP, you'll have access to a wide array of mixing, editing, and exporting tools. Perfect for electronic field production, run-and-gun news reporting, or simple mobile vlogs, the mic comes with a windshield, a durable clip, and a Kevlar-reinforced cable.

Rode Rec turns the user's iOS device into a fully featured field recorder, with a wide range of equalization presets to suit various recording situations, in addition to professional editing functions and the ability to publish to SoundCloud and Dropbox direct from the app.
