A lightweight prime ideal for portraiture, the AF 56mm f/1.8 Lens from TTArtisan is designed for use with APS-C Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a portrait-length full-frame equivalency of 84mm. Capturing images in low-light conditions is no issue with its bright maximum f/1.8 aperture. It features a minimum focusing distance of 19.7" and has a stepping motor to drive the autofocus, which helps enable quiet and speedy performance. One extra-low dispersion (ED) element reduces color fringing and chromatic aberrations to achieve greater clarity and color accuracy.
The optical design includes ten elements in nine groups working together to reduce dispersion and chromatic aberration. Among these are an ED and two high-index elements.
The focusing accuracy provided by eye detection makes it easy to capture images while ensuring your subject is in focus. This is also beneficial for tracking your subject while shooting video, ensuring smooth and in-focus footage.
The lens barrel and mount are made from aluminum, contributing to its durable, yet lightweight construction. A built-in USB-C port allows for firmware updates.
